After graduation I sat for the national registry for radiology technologists, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. This registry says that I am competent in my field and have met all of the standards as set forth by the ARRT.
I am also a member of the American Society of Radiology Technologists or the ASRT. This is the professional membership organization that maintains imaging professional's standards of professionalism and patient care. We are responsible for meeting standards in continuing education credits and the ASRT is a wonderful resource for these credits. The ASRT has a lot of great information on who radiology technologists are and what it is that we do.
I sat for the Certified Associates of Project Management and I now have a certification in Project Management. This certificate helps a lot in the field that I am currently in.
