My goal is to complete my Bachelor's of Science in Technology Management and continue into a management position within the medical field. PACS Administration and HIS Administration are two takes on the fields that I could transition into.
PACS is the Picture Archival Communication System that has become a technology break thorough in the field of Radiology. It is the system that is used to send and receive patient images to and from departments and radiologists. It's recent appearance on the stage makes it an excellent field to get into because of there are so few that are trained in it's administration and maintenance. HIS is Hospital Information Systems and is used to manage all aspects of a hospital network. Most professionally run hospitals and clinics now rely on HIS to manage all aspects of the administrative and medical information. Again, this is a very specialized field that has huge growing potential.
